Professional graduation photos are available through S. Pings Studio. Graduates and their friends and families may order graduation photos by downloading the order form and returning it to the school with cash, check or money order payment by Wednesday June 9.

Caps and Gowns -
· Take gown out of bag when you get home
· Hang up to let wrinkles fall out
· Do NOT iron at all!!  Do NOT use a steamer!!
· Tip:  Hang in bathroom while taking a shower (do NOT put in shower)
· Set cap in such a way that tassel does not get tangled

Dress Code Plus -
· Regular dress code - if ladies would like to wear a dress without a collar, they may.  Heels are ok - just make sure you can walk on grass in them and up and down stairs!
· Ties are optional for men.

General Expectations -
· Behavior as outlined in DSST handbook
· No air horns or any other disruptive items
· No writing on outside of caps or gowns

Photography
· There will be professional photographers capturing the special moments of this graduation.
· We ask that during the graduation ceremony, you not stand at your seat, blocking the view of others.  There will be a designated place west of the seating ,set aside, where you can stand to take pictures. 

Parking -
· Seniors will park on the street, leaving the parking lots available for guests
· There will be additional handicap parking available near the front of the high school
· When the school lot is full, there is plenty of street parking
· Please be considerate of the neighborhood and not block entryways and alleyways.
· Once the school lot is full, there will be an option to drop off passengers and then go park elsewhere

Other Notes:
· Weather permitting, graduation exercises will be outside on the Middle School field.
· Please wear your wristband ticket snuggly, so as not to risk losing it.
· Please dress to be comfortable for the weather conditions
· Students and guests should bring water for the graduation ceremony
· Bathrooms will be available in the Middle School and gym.
· In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the gym and the post graduation reception will be in the cafeteria.

Please gather in the oval after the ceremony for a reception honoring our graduates

 

Tickets:
Each graduate receives 7 tickets on check out day.  If a family does not have use for all their tickets (graduate does not need a ticket), it would be helpful to return them to DSST (Janet Busch) so that those families that could use a couple more tickets would be able to use them.  Requests for extra tickets should be made to janet.busch@scienceandtech.org with “Grad Ticket Request” in the subject line.  Extra tickets will be given out on a first come (email request) first serve basis.  There is no guarantee of extra tickets being available for each request.  Please note that DSST does not sell tickets to the graduation, and that no one should have to pay for a ticket.
